Firm Faith : the power that tranforms lives
During this Sunday’s service, the pastor dedicated his message to faith, presenting it as the “firm assurance” that grounds all hope and transforms God’s promises into tangible realities. . Faith is not merely a feeling; it is the power that opens heaven, breaks chains, and brings healing and deliverance.
He explained that faith is not a simple belief or ordinary confidence, but a hypostasis: an immovable and solid foundation that does not waver, even when circumstances or conflicting voices arise. This hypostasis represents a structure that nothing can shift, so that even the slightest doubt immediately moves the believer out of true faith. The pastor warned that when assurance is not “firm,” one lives in the shadow of faith and no longer sees the results promised by God. He reminded the congregation that the Bible describes faith as the firm guarantee of the things we hope for, and that without it, no transformation can take place.
True faith must manifest itself; it produces visible evidence in the believer’s life. Using the analogy of the iceberg, he showed that the 90% beneath the water (our thoughts, our deep convictions) determine the 10% that emerges at the surface—that is, the events we see. Thus, every thought aligned with God’s Word becomes the foundation of a powerful and blessed event, while recurring negative thoughts limit these manifestations. The pastor urged everyone to examine the recurrence of their thoughts daily and submit them to the Word, so that the “outpouring” of faith may be reflected in everyday reality.
He encouraged the congregation to exercise faith in every area: studies, finances, relationships, and daily decisions. Acting “by faith” means placing God’s Word at the center of our recurring thoughts, renewing our minds, and remaining steadfast in hope; otherwise, excellence fades and promises remain unfulfilled. The pastor gave specific examples: applying for a job contract, resolving family conflicts—all of this must be done while declaring trust in God, knowing that His promises will come to pass. He emphasized that faith is not limited to the spiritual realm; it also influences material realities such as health, prosperity, and family peace when one perseveres in the Word. Finally, he reminded them that every action guided by faith is a living testimony that inspires others to follow the same path.
In summary, according to the pastor, faith is an unshakable foundation which, when nourished by God’s Word and aligned thoughts, produces concrete and powerful manifestations. He concluded by calling every believer to pray together and to keep the fire of faith burning daily, so that their lives may reflect the firm assurance promised. He affirmed that God never abandons those who hold firmly to His Word, and that perseverance in faith guarantees a future filled with deliverance, healing, and lasting blessings.
