Scam or Truth?

This Sunday the man of God, Cyrille Bankolé, took the time to explain the Biblical and spiritual origin of tithes and offerings. It allowed us to understand that they are as relevant today as they were in the Old Testament.


The origin of the tithe and offering precede the law of Moses. They are born from a spiritual revelation.


The origin of tithing: The story of Abraham and Melchizedek. Genesis 14

  • Without allies, with only 318 brave men born in his house and in unity, Abraham defeated the coalition of kings.
  • Abraham meets Melchizedek: The foreshadow of Christ and King of Justice and Peace. Hebrews 7 : 1-4
  • After this encounter, driven by the spirit, Abraham gives Melchizedek the tithe of all his goods.


The origin of offerings – Genesis 4

  • The first offerings mentioned in the Bible are those of Cain and Abel.
  • It was by revelation of the Spirit that they offered to the Lord an offering in recognition of his blessings.
