Drawing from 2 Chronicles 20, she explains that King Jehoshaphat initially felt fear when faced with an enemy coalition, but he chose not to allow that fear to control him. Instead of running away or complaining, he “set himself” to put his faith in God and seek Him above all else. This decision to align his heart with trust in God became the foundation of every victorious strategy.

Worship is not limited to a church service; it must permeate every moment of the believer’s life. Jehoshaphat called for a fast, collective prayer, and above all, systematic praise before facing the battle. The servant emphasizes that praise, even in the midst of turmoil, is the “war song” that prepares the way for divine intervention. She reminds us that the sacrifices in the temple were accompanied by songs, showing that praise remains at the heart of biblical worship.

One of the major lessons of the sermon is the way Jehoshaphat formulated his prayer. He began by glorifying God, recalling His promises and His covenant with their ancestors, and then presented the situation by confronting it with the Word of God. He did not say, “Lord, look at my troubles,” but rather, “Here is the threat against the promise You gave us.” This approach transforms prayer into a declaration of God’s sovereignty, opening the way for God’s response.

The people of Judah stood firm, both physically and spiritually, during the fast and prayer. This posture demonstrates their active expectation of a divine response. The servant highlights the importance of unity: the king, the Levites, and entire families gathered around a common strategy. This solidarity strengthened their collective faith and ensured that seeking God would not remain an individual effort, but would become a community-wide dynamic.

After the praise and prayer, the enemy army was defeated, the corpses became abundant plunder, and the people returned to Jerusalem with joy, once again celebrating in the house of the Lord. Servant Merveille concludes that lasting victory rests on three essential practices: adopting an attitude of praise every day, being willing to seek God before taking action, and presenting our battles through biblical promises rather than through our complaints.

Therefore, victory is not only military but also spiritual, emotional, and material. It rests on active faith, a consistent life of worship, and complete trust in the Word of God.

"_surecart_dashboard_navigation_subscriptions":true
[28,27,25

post-13566","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-messages","category-teaching","category-winners-celebration
["GET
