Prayer protocol part 2
Protocol for effective prayer

In this sermon, the pastor develops what he describes as “the protocol of prayer,” based on Matthew 6—a structured framework designed to make every prayer effective and to allow our requests to rise before the throne of God. He emphasizes that prayer is not optional or merely a wish. It is a spiritual obligation, comparable to breathing, that must be practiced with discipline and method.

Protocol
  • 1. Set a Specific Time
  • Prayer must be scheduled every day. Just as we cannot choose not to breathe, we should not choose not to pray.
  • Being late or imprecise with the time reflects a lack of discipline and hinders the effectiveness of prayer.
  • 2. Choose a Dedicated Place
  • A “secret place” (a room, a quiet corner) where one physically closes the door.
  • It also means closing the “door of the mind” by eliminating worries, bitterness, resentment, and mental distractions.
  • 3. Create the Atmosphere
  • Before praying, we must establish an atmosphere of reverence through worship, praise, and recognition of God's name.
  • Sanctifying the name of the Lord by declaring that His name is holy helps remove obstacles such as hatred or unforgiveness.
  • 4. The Order of Prayer
  • Adoration / Praise → Sanctifying God’s Name → Requests (His kingdom, needs, healing, prosperity, etc.) → Thanksgiving
  • Prayer should be a dialogue (a conversation) rather than a monologue.
We speak, we listen, and we wait for God’s response.
  • 5. The Role of Forgiveness and Releasing Burdens
  • We must release wounds, bitterness, and unforgiveness so they do not block the spiritual connection with God.
  • Our worries must be laid before the Lord, allowing us to “cast them upon Him” so the door of our mind remains closed to distractions.
  • 6. Offering as a Complement
  • An offering does not replace prayer, but accompanies it. It activates and accelerates communication with God.
  • Giving without praying produces no result; both must coexist.
  • 7. The Expected Result
  • When the protocol is respected, prayer becomes effective. Divine answers manifest quickly, needs are met (health, finances, relationships, etc.), and God’s presence becomes tangible.
  • The pastor mentions several “heavenly doors” that open: blessing, protection, prosperity, healing, and more.

The “protocol of prayer” presented by the pastor is not a magical formula but a call to spiritual discipline: establishing a specific time, a dedicated place, a reverent atmosphere, and a heart free from spiritual blockages. By following these steps—closing both physical and mental doors, beginning with worship and sanctifying God’s name, praying in dialogue, and releasing our burdens—we transform every hour of prayer into a powerful encounter with the Heavenly Father. The pastor concludes by reminding believers that God responds to those who honor this protocol, and he invites every believer to apply it now so that their prayers may rise before God and their lives be transformed.
